It can be difficult to keep up with which Corona variant is most prevalent these days. Most experts agree we will continue to see new variants of the virus for the foreseeable future, but will that mean a new vaccine for each new strain?

This report from National Geographic discusses the search for a universal vaccine that could be effective for all current and future strains. Most experts continue to recommend masks to protect against the more contagious Omicron variant, but many admit that just wearing a cloth or poorly fitted surgical mask may not be enough to protect from infection if a close encounter occurs with an un-masked carrier of the virus.
